Shoulder Patient

Shoulder Patient – Without Dr. Foad’s willingness to give me a second opinion, I would have undergone an unnecessary arm manipulation which could have led to an aggravation of my problem, leading to a long and painful recovery.

I was told by my original doctor that I only had a frozen shoulder from arthritis. After Dr. Foad had examined me, he determined that I needed an MRI, which the first doctor had deemed unnecessary. The MRI showed that I had a large tear in my rotator cuff and a slap tear, i.e., my tendon was hanging on by a thread. I also had a bone spur. What I did not have was arthritis! After a successful surgery and follow-up physical therapy, my arm is as good as new!
