Dr. Foad is proud to service Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois offering the specialties of shoulder, knee and sports medicine. He integrates all aspects of specialized care by using a combination of knowledge, experience, training and his unique skillset. Dr. Foad’s goal has always been to continue a lifelong process of learning to provide evidence-based orthopaedic care for all of his patients while also being a true advocate for them. His patients often find him quoting and providing evidence-based literature to them.

Commitment to patient needs is not the only advantage of receiving care through Dr. Foad. Patients also benefit from the tremendous amount of expertise he has gained through continued education from national and international courses and lectures, involvement in laboratory sessions, delivering lectures, performing clinical research and learning the most advanced procedures while using minimally invasive techniques. Dr. Foad keeps in constant contact with his mentors who are world leaders in the fields of shoulder, knee and sports medicine.

Prior to consultation with Dr. Foad, new patients will be expected to fill out forms that include medical history, review of systems, demographic and insurance information. This information along with any recent radiological studies (X-rays, MRI, CT scan, etc.), electro-diagnostic studies (EMG/NCV) or laboratory tests (blood work) will be used to help with your diagnosis and treatment plan. The office is open Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 am and 4:30 pm.

Dr. Foad has a specific set of written guidelines for pre-operative, post-operative, and if necessary, rehabilitation recovery. These guidelines will be discussed with you in detail and provided during your pre-surgical visit.

After surgery, Dr. Foad is always available for his patients in case of after-hour emergencies. If you need to contact him after hours or weekends, please call the regular office clinic number and our answering service will connect you with him.
