Shoulder Patient: I met Dr. Foad several years ago in the Emergency Room after falling off a ladder. I had broken the ball off my humerus. After examination of the x-rays, several local surgeons recommended that I be transferred to University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. The emergency room physician then contacted Dr. Foad to get his opinion. Upon his examination, Dr. Foad visited with me and told me that he was confident that he could do a successful non-invasive procedure on my shoulder. I agreed and the result could not have been better. I now have excellent range of motion in my shoulder and could not be more pleased. In my lifetime I have never known of another physician who is as caring and involved with his patients as Dr. Foad. He takes the time to explain things in common terms and follows up to confirm that everything is on track post surgery.
