Shoulder Patient

After a number of years playing and coaching throwing sports, I found my right shoulder labrum torn last year. A dead arm. I wanted to continue my active lifestyle, throwing baseballs, footballs and lifting weights. After diagnosis of a labrum tear, I reached to Dr. Foad. He was not the doctor I had been referred to, but I knew him through coaching and was aware of his reputation. I went to see him and his team for further action. He was incredibly explanatory, and provided me with options to make decisions and choose the path that I felt was the best one. His referral and our conversations led me to shoulder surgery. Post operation, I was walked through care and treated with utmost care and respect. He sent me to a close colleague of his Brad Harper here in the Quad Cities and we started rehab. I was very impressed with his reports he sent to Brad for my rehab, and recommended an “aggressive path to recovery” fully knowing I did not want too much down time. I committed to following every direction of both Brad and Dr. Foad and was back to throwing and exercise in four months.
Dr. Foad has lived up to his reputation and he continues to inquire about my progress. He and his staff were caring, professional and took care of me as if I were family.
